![]() ![]() No matter how you feel about it, the main heroine doesn't get any backbone by the end of it and still behaves and probably considers herself beneath her "black prince". I could have gotten behind this story if at least there was a sense of balance in their relationship by the end of the movie but sadly not. That bodes very well for her future, I guess, she's prone to abusive relationships. How can anyone throw her self-esteem down the drain and accept to be called and treated like a dog? Even worse, she falls in love with a guy that treats her like an animal. Why I get why the main girl started with a lie. Why the hell female mangaka and readers are into them, is beyond my understanding but I'm okay with giving them leeway since jerks are abound in romantic comedies, as long as they're brought down a peg or two,learn some modesty and to be considerate by the end of the story, I'm okay with them.īut there's absolutely nothing at all to redeem this movie. EXCEPT when they go with the tsundere type: It's always a hit or miss. I'm all for teen romances and as a Korean Drama fan I tend to watch Japanese movies to get my fix because I think they're usually pretty good at this stuf. Okay, I haven't read the original material so my opinion is just based on the movie. She tells Kyouya about her situation and asks him to be her pretend boyfriend. The boy in the picture is Kyouya Sata ( Kento Yamazaki) and happens to attend the same school as Erika. She later shows his picture to her friends as her boyfriend. Erika then sees a pretty boy on the street and takes his picture discreetly. Erika's friends soon begin to doubt her story and Erika is also running out of lies. While talking to friends, she makes up a story about her "boyfriend." In reality, Erika Shinohara doesn't have a boyfriend.
